About Neem Leaf (Neem Patti) Powder
Neem Patti is the sun-dried leaf of Azadirachta indica, known in Ayurveda as Nimba - one of the most revered bitter herbs in the classical materia medica. Prized as a Sarva Roga Nivarini ("healer of all ailments") in folk tradition, the leaf carries a predominantly Tikta (bitter) and Kashaya (astringent) taste, a Sheeta (cooling) potency, and light, dry qualities that make it a go-to herb for pacifying aggravated Pitta and Kapha doshas.
Traditionally, neem leaf is classified as a Raktashodhaka (blood purifier), Krimighna (anti-parasitic), Kushtaghna (skin-supporting), and Jwaraghna (used in seasonal fevers) herb. Generations of Indian households have used neem leaf water, paste, and decoction to support healthy skin, maintain oral and scalp hygiene, and encourage the body's natural detoxification. It remains a staple ingredient in Ayurvedic skincare, blood-purifier formulas, and immunity blends.
Our Neem Patti is carefully harvested, shade-to-sun dried to preserve its characteristic bitter phytochemistry, and cleaned to be free of stems and grit. Use it as a coarse leaf for decoctions and infusions, or grind it into a fine powder for face packs, hair masks, and internal formulations. Every batch is intensely bitter - a natural sign of a potent, authentic neem leaf.
As with all potent bitters, neem is best used in measured doses and under qualified guidance, especially for internal use over extended periods. It is a supportive wellness herb, not a substitute for medical treatment.

How to Use
Internal use: Mix ¼-½ tsp (about 1-2 g) of neem leaf powder into warm water, or stir into honey to soften its natural bitterness, once daily, preferably on an empty stomach. Topical use for skin and hair: Blend ½-1 tsp (about 2-3 g) with a little rose water, plain water, or yogurt to make a smooth paste or face/hair pack; apply to clean skin or scalp, leave for 10-15 minutes, then rinse with lukewarm water. Start with a small amount, do a patch test before topical use, and use consistently as part of your routine. Traditionally used to support clear skin, a healthy scalp, and the body's natural cleansing processes. If you are pregnant, nursing, trying to conceive, taking medication, or managing a health condition, consult a qualified physician or Ayurvedic practitioner before use.
Precautions & Safety
Not recommended during pregnancy or while trying to conceive, as neem has traditional anti-fertility associations and may not be safe in pregnancy. Avoid giving to infants and very young children internally. Neem can lower blood sugar - if you are diabetic or on blood-sugar or blood-pressure medication, monitor closely and consult your doctor, as doses may need adjustment. Its cooling, dry nature can aggravate Vata; those with Vata imbalance, dryness, or low body weight should use conservatively. Avoid high doses or prolonged continuous internal use without professional supervision, as excessive intake may burden the liver or cause nausea. Discontinue and seek advice if you experience unusual fatigue, digestive upset, or allergic reaction. For external use, patch-test first.
